Oceans Africa is a dive tour and charter company. We are based in Cape Town where we we run scuba diving and freediving tours and charters our boat Sea Otter. Depending on the season we may launch from Simonstown or Hout Bay where we are able to access the best of Cape Town’s Southern peninsular dive sites.

Cape Town is fast becoming the premier freediving destination in South Africa. The city is literally surrounded by water and at its heart stands the Table Mountain National Park, a world heritage site with over 1000 Km2 of Marine Protected Areas (MPA’s) to explore.
This spectacular coastal city with it’s coastline of cliffs and bays offers access to great number of popular dive sites.
Between the many beaches and coves, giant granite boulders stack on top of each other, forming a base structure for flourishing reef systems and kelp forest.
Many dives sites are easy to access from shore however a boat charter with Oceans Africa will open up a world of other possibilities.
Our boat Sea Otter is SAMSA certified for commercial operations up to 15NM offshore with day and night rating. We also carry a permit issued by SAN Parks to conduct diving operations in the TMNP MPAs

Everybody loves our boat Sea Otter! She is the perfect boat for small groups, families and private freediving charters. Sea Otter is licensed to carry 5 passengers plus your skipper and dive guide.
Built for Cape waters she is light, stable and seaworthy, providing a safe and comfortable ride to and from the dive sites. With a swim platform at the stern allowing easy entry and exit from the water, Sea Otter is a fantastic boat for scuba diving freediving and kelp forest snorkeling safaris.
