This is a full day guided tour From Cape Town we follow the old coast road past rugged mountains and sweeping bays to reach the coastal town of Hermanus. From the cliff-top elevation the whales often lie just beneath you in the shallows allowing fantastic opportunities to observe them at your leisure. In the afternoon we take you on a 2 hr boat based tour. The vessel is officially licensed to conduct close encounters and may legally approach whales to within 50 meters, it is then up to the whales if they wish to investigate you and the boat more closely. Often their natural curiosity provides an up-close and personal encounter that will never to be forgotten.

WESTERN CAPE WHALE AND DOLPHIN WATCHING PACKAGE - Cape Town - Garden Route

This seven night package is specifically designed for the whale and dolphin enthusiast. Available from June to October the tour offers fantastic boat and land based, whale watching opportunities. Southern right whales are to be found in Cape Town and along the Garden Route to Plettenberg Bay where large concentrations of bottlenose dolphins provide breathtaking encounters. Humpback whales are also on their migrations to and from the tropics and the chance of a sighting offshore is very high. Other species that may be found include, Bryde's whales, common dolphins and humpbacked dolphins. There are few places in the world that can offer such diversity in one tour.

Additional days may also be added to include cage diving in Gansbaai or extra time in Cape Town or along the Garden Route. Elements of this tour may of course be used to create your own custom tour.

The tour combines land-based whale watching in the Hermanus area with boat-based whale and dolphin charters in Plettenberg Bay.

Available daily. This is a 2 hour boat charter available from Plettenbergbay, Hermanus and Gansbaai. After the safety briefing and launch (you should remain dry!) we explore the local area by boat in search of whale and dolphin activity. Our goal is to have an un-intrusive close encounter with one of the worlds largest mammals. The vessel is officially licensed to conduct close encounters and may legally approach whales to within 50 meters. It is then up to the whales if the wish to investigate you and the boat more closely. Often their natural curiosity gets the better of them providing an up close and personal encounter never to be forgotten. Open to all ages (R300 for under 12 yr's). Available daily. This is a 2 hour boat charter from Plettenbergbay. After the unique and exciting launch from central beach we explore the local area and concentrate on finding dolphin activity. Species most likely to be found are bottlenose dolphin, humpback dolphins and common dolphins. With a 98% successful sighting rate you are unlikely to be disappointed.

Open to all ages (R250 for under 12 yrs).

DOLPHIN EXPLORATION CHARTER - - Available from Plettenberg Bay on request only.
From ZAR 1350 per person (min 4 adults) - currency converter.

Available for the more adventurous by request. This is a 4 - 5 hour exclusive charter from Plettenbergbay. We launch from central beach for a long range exploration charter in search of whales, dolphins, sharks and sardine related activity (season depending). Our charter boat is comfortable with padded seats and plenty of space. If conditions permit we will shelter in the spectacular natural amphitheater of the Salt River mouth for a quick swim or a snorkel followed by light snacks and refreshments.

Waterproofs and life jackets supplied. Includes light lunch and refreshments. Excludes snorkeling gear.
