Our boat is child friendly with no age restrictions if children are accompanied by an adult. Boat tours may also depart from Hout Bay if weather conditions in False Bay are unfavorable.

Oceans Africa are running our own boat Sea Otter for private charters in the Cape Town area. Sea Otter is licensed to carry 6 passengers and is perfect for small groups, families and private charters.
Boat trips in Cape Town on our boat Sea Otter are run on a boat, skipper and fuel rate. Snorkel gear, dive equipment and dive guides can be hired on request. Our charters are customised to suit your schedule and your interests.
Our boat tours in False Bay depart from Simonstown. We also launch from Kommetjie or Hout Bay to access Duiker Island and the many Dive Sites on the Atlantic side.
Kids love our boat trips on Sea Otter. There is nothing quite like being at sea, skipping along the surface of the ocean and being directly connected to the waves.

Sea Otter is a 19ft Butt Cat with 2 x 60hp Suzuki four stroke engines, rated to carry 6 passengers plus the skipper. Although she is a little boat she has a big heart Built for Cape waters she is light, economical and very seaworthy and will always bring you safely home from an exciting day at sea.

Whale and dolphin watching charters
It is always possible to see whales and dolphins anytime you put to sea, we must however maintain a respectful distance as per the Marine Living Resources Act 1998.
Tours and charters on our boat Sea Otter are not whale and dolphin watching charters. If you wish to book a close encounter boat-based whale watching tour we would love to find you a licensed whale watching operator in your area.

Sea Otter carries a permit for dive operations in the TMNP MPAs, however scuba divers are required to carry their own individual SAN Parks MPA diving permits, available from the post office or though Oceans Africa.
Private Seal Snorkeling & Diving
Oceans Africa are privileged to be able to access two of the best sites for seal interactions on the Southern Peninsula. Our guided seal snorkeling charters are available all year round.
Partridge Point in False Bay is the preferred seal snorkeling site during the Winter months while Duiker Island near Hout Bay is best accessed during the Summer months from November to January.
