Our family fun trips are customised to suit you and your families interests, be it a snorkeling tip, a wildlife experience or a birthday party. We like you to think of Sea Otter as your own boat for the duration of your time with us – we will even let you drive!
Kids love Sea Otter. There is nothing quite like being at sea, skipping along the surface of the ocean, feeling the swells beneath the boat, directly connected to the waves with fresh sea air in your lungs and wide horizons to heighten your senses and clear your mind.
Over the years our focus at Oceans Africa has been moving towards our youth and introducing children and teenagers to the ocean, hoping to inspire a passion and love for marine life as well as promoting the mental health benefits of being in nature.
By feeling a connection with the natural world and finding some sense of place in it, we are able to find happiness and meaning outside of the digital realm, especially after this time of Covid when so many are struggling with isolation and a rapidly changing world.
Oceans Africa run private family charters in the Cape Town area. Our boat is licensed to carry 6 passengers and is the perfect for small groups, families and private tours. Sea Otter can be launched from Simonstown, Kommetjie and Hout Bay, depending on the season and your requirements.
With a swim platform at the stern Sea Otter is a fantastic boat for swimming and snorkeling and diving, allowing easy entry and exit from the water should you wish to jump in for a swim or be towed behind the boat.
